Hi everyone! I am Denae Pyle, your Miss Kosciusko 2009. I will proudly be representing Kosciusko County throughout the week of the fair as well as the other pageants I will be competing in. Also, proudly representing the county in everything else I will be doing throughout this year and into the next.
First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who helped me get to where I am just this far. Thank you to my mom and dad for always supporting me and coming to every event I have put myself into (even if it does call for a new dress and we don’t tell Dad just how much it may cost!) . Also, thank you Mom and Dad for showing me that my relationship with the Lord is the most important relationship a person can ever have. To my brother, sisters, and boyfriend, thank you for coming to all my events and always finding the fun and humor in all things. Thank you to my Church family; you are all such a part of who I am today. Thank you to the directors, Patty and Krystalle, for organizing everything and giving great direction to make things run smoothly or as smoothly as any event with fourteen girls running around can go. Most of all, thanks to all the amazing thirteen lovely ladies I came to know through this experience. It means the most when you can put that many girls in one room for a whole day and at the end of the day, we are great friends. Each and every one of you young women deserves to be wearing a crown to show that you are the greatest and best representatives across this county. Love you all!
You may be a little more interested in who I am and what I do. I am 19 years old, and I will be a sophomore at Purdue University this fall studying Hospitality and Tourism Management. I am eager to one day work for ALSAC (American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities) of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in raising funds to provide for the children and their families while they are going through such a rough time. So many people have touched my life so I desire to return the favor. I attend First Brethren Church in Manchester and the Purdue Christian Campus house while I am at Purdue. I was a ten year 4-H member where I mainly showed dairy calf feeder steers and swine. I also sewed and was in fashion review all ten years, and then did many random projects throughout my ten years. I am very involved at Purdue which keeps me very busy throughout the school year. I live in Glenwood Cooperative with my 34 sisters, and I am active in Purdue Foundation Student Board and also Consumer and Family Sciences Student Council. While I was involved in these activities and more, including many community service activities, I devoted myself to staying on the Dean’s List while at Purdue.
I am very excited to represent Kosciusko County this year as your Miss Kosciusko Fair Queen. You will see me in the fair parade with other the other amazing girls that competed, anywhere and everywhere during fair week (July 6th thru July 11th), and then I will be competing at the State Fair in late August and the State Festivals Queen Pageant in November. If you see me around the fair, please stop me and introduce yourself!
Genuinely,
Denae Pyle, Miss Kosciusko 2009
